I've just had a quick shufty at the site mentioned above, putting 
Creative Labs in as manufacturer, and looking through the different 
cards for the 24 bit soundblaster.  To my surprise, this is no longer in 
red as dodgy, but in plain green as an OK card.  Have a look.
