Apparently not true: this
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Realtek#Products> says Realtek has 50%
of that market, versus <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VIA_Technologies>

So if it worked with your Via, it should work with my Realtek. Grrr!
