[SLUG] Some nice Gnome stuff

I'm just getting under way with regular development on my home machine.

I've got Fedora Core 4 with Gnome 2.10.

For development I'm using Eclipse with PHP extensions, Subversion and
the Subclipse plugin.

What I wanted to say specifically which I'm finding really useful is in
Gnome.

The places menu has 'Connect to Server' and I've been able to add
shortcuts to FTP/SSH servers I frequently connect to. They then appear
in my places menu and with the passwords saved in 'my keyring' I enter
one password and I can then access all of the shortcuts as though they
were local folders. No need for any extra program etc, which is nice and
convenient for me.

Just thought I'd share, and I'd be interested to hear any other
conveniences people have found.
