It was nice to get down to my local and sample the beer! By the way Bob, its Knight singular, not plural ;)

Slug did have a meeting last night. Thank you to all who turned up.

SLUG meeting on 6th June 2007

A SLUG meeting was held at the Valley, 4 members attending. David, Roy, David
Knights(new) and myself. Various issues were raised. A general topic for
discussion was the Gnome vs KDE question, though most of the talk was about
accessibility software.
It was generally agreed that the format of meetings in the future should be of
short introductory talks, prior to discussion by all present. The next 2
meetings will be over the summer break, and, as people will be on holiday,
they will be informal.
The agenda for the next meeting (Tuesday July 3rd), has 2 topics agreed.
David Knights will talk about 'Open Compositing for the Partially Sighted',
and "Creating a live CD distro". No one present was well informed about the
latter, so information as to sources, and, even better, participation from
someone knowledgeable would be welcome .
The September meeting, when people will be back from holidays, will discuss
the future organisation of meetings.

Bob
