I use KDE on openSUSE, so I can't give you specific details on the Gnome
desktop, but you can just type "chromium-browser" in a terminal and that
should work.
Usually when installing programs with the package manager it should put
an icon in your menu, but you might have look for a while if it's in a
strange place. Also, there must be a search box to find programs from
the Gnome desktop?
If you can't find a shortcut icon, you might have to create one yourself.

I think it's Google "Chrome" that has flash built in, not "Chromium" -
which is an open-source version.
Maybe you could try these instructions:
http://www.ubuntugeek.com/howto-enable-flash-support-for-google-chromium-browser.html
or download Flash directly from Adobe:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
or download Chrome directly from Google:
http://www.google.com/chrome/

To check which version of flash is installed and working, visit:

Cheers,
Ross.
