Hi John,

When you are compiling from source there are quite often additional 
libraries required. In this case you are compiling a kernel module so 
you need to install the kernel header files. If you use the package 
manager on your system you will probably find a "kernel development" 
group selection that you can use to make sure all the required tools and 
source code is installed. (Did your CD not include a readme.txt or other 
instructions with this information?)
