KDE actually has some nice features for corporate rollout - check out the
Kiosk framework which allows you to lock down all or part of the desktop
environment. You can read all about it at:

Konq uses the KHTML kpart which is kde's own rendering engine. KHTML was
adopted for use in Apple's new Safari web browser
(http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/safari.html). Apple have been
pumping all the improvements they have been making back to the kde
developers, so expect to see an even better konq when kde3.2 comes out.
