I'm almost, but not quite, interested enough to see if BIND enforces
this.  I know some nameservers don't, which is possibly why some people
have used CNAMEs as MX records in the past.  (A bit like some people
who have used underscores in FQDNs because their nameserver allowed them
to, even though it was contrary to the RFCs.  Not that I'd mention the
name of a large mobile network operator, not me.)
