[sclug] Kernel doesn't start tvcard properly

 Hi, I am using Mandriva Free 2010.1 and am having temperamental trouble
detecting my firmware driver for the tv card.

It has suddenly become a hit and miss thing if the TV card is configured
on boot-up because the external drive seems to be interfering with the
process.

My dvb card driver is in /lib/firmware.

I am on Freenode ##linux and #mandriva right now for live chat.

Any ideas?
