Yes you can. I'm not sure of the options you need to specify. I will find 
out and reply later. I have a dual boot windows 98/ Mandrake 9.0 system and 
use a vfat partition to share files between the two operating systems.

If you have an NTFS partition I think that can only be mounted as read only.
