Hi Folks<br>I have just gone through the motions of upgrading from Hoary right<br>through to Edgy. However I keep getting the following error message from<br>the Update manager.<br><br>"invoke-rc.d initscript samba action "start" failed
<br>dpkg:error processing samba (--configure)<br><br>Any suggestions would be welcome.<br><br>Also my disc is rather full and I want to know how to identify any files<br>from the earlier upgrades, that I can delete.<br><br>

but from what is there, the first thing i would try is in a console as root, typing:<br><br>dpkg --configure samba<br><br>and seeing what the outcome of that is<br><br>Ian<br>
