Hi,

Good to meet up at the Black Jug with those who were - missed those who weren't.

About the scam - it _is_ a criminal offence even though permission was given because the permission was for a local (implied) call. It annoys me no end when the current slaves of the Home Office fail to recognise that the law already exists.

It's like rave parties, neighbours from hell etc. The problem is the official side haven't the resources so they _say_ there isn't a law. The lower echelons know no better!

So, if she knocks on your door and tries her tricks - 1 you can use redial to "prove" the call was not real (her fraud continues when she pretends to talk to someone) and 2 she can be arrested by any person (i.e. citizens arrest) for comitting an offence under the Theft Act.

Course, you could take her pound, too! You would be entitled to that.

Best wishes,
Derek
