[Sussex] Thinkpad help

Hi Guys,

I'm sorry I shall miss the Linux Expo but that's life!

I have an IBM Thinkpad 600E which is a superb machine. However, I have been unable to get either the mwav modem or the IR ports to function with SuSE. I've used distributions 7.2 to 8.0 and compiled from source for the modem. I've played with PS2 from a DOS boot floppy and tpctrl and all sorts.

I wonder if anyone has had success and if so what the BIOS settings used should be and what Linux configuration was necessary?
