[Sussex] Athlon crashing

Perhaps you need to look at the X server logfiles to see what is
happening. I dunno if you can change the startup script so that X starts
with

X 1>/tmp/stdout 2>/tmp/stderr

The server will then dump what is happening to /tmp/stdout

Unless its a heat issue, whether X windows is causing the processor to
overheat or something.
