Well Deadrat certainly used to run fine on Proliants. They make 
excellent Half-life servers :-)

Umm.... FreeBSD?

Seriously, it installs a dream over the net, has support for Compaq's 
Smart Array controller and with the linux compatibility stuff, runs 
most linux stuff okay. And being BSD, no Linux expertise is required :-)
