Subject: [Sussex] Bluetooth USB

Maplin has a special offer on Bluetooth USB adapters: Part code A68AN at
www.maplin.co.uk - £39.99 each (£10 off normal price). These seem to be
this (ie don't blame me if I'm wrong)

  http://www.bluetake.com/Products/poke2thbt009.htm

As usual, they're specified for Windoze and Linux isn't mentioned. However.
according to this page:

  http://www.holtmann.org/linux/bluetooth/devices.html

the Bluetake BT009S and BT009V dongles are supported by the Linux Bluez
package which:

  "For linux users bluez makes it possible to connect to and thus use
bluetoothdevices. It becomes possible to use bluetooth usb-dongles, mobile
phones with bluetooth, acces points and so on. Thus you can connect two or
more computers wireless, or phone your isp with your mobile
bluetooth-enabled phone. You can synchronize your pim with your computer or
phone. You can access your phone data and so on with your computer. "

Unfortunately Maplin doesn't seem to do an Access Point to go with the
dongles.

  Iain
