[Sussex] apmd / vga=ask problems

Actually, the individual bootloader take your vga setting and encode it in
such a way as the kernel will understamd it (it isn't a straight kernel
parameter) apparantly the two bootloaders differ slightly in what they pass
- anything more than that and I'm afraid I don't have the info.  All I know
is that vga=792 didn't work with LILO.

There is some stuff, but no explanation of why this kills apmd - it's
noteable that both bootloaders set the mode (the console switches to a
lovely high-res display) but that with LILO is still stops at apmd.

Weird, but working now - which is the important thing.
