I was just watching University Challenge (Yes, I do watch it..)..

They had the following "IT" questions (answers to the usual place please):

Q: Dennis Ritchie and Kenneth Thompson were awarded the fields medal for 
technology for their development, in 1969, of which timesharing computer 
operating system?


Q: What programming language did Ritchie develop for use with that operating 
system?

Q: What is the name of the PC version of that operating system developed in 
1991 by Linus Torvalds?
