Knoppix detects my graphics card as "ATI|Radeon Mobility U1" and uses
the
driver "XFree86(radeon) Server".  I believe this is the generic radeon
driver.

I can give you a copy of the last knoppix cd I downloaded (V3.2
2003-05-20-EN) so that you can try it if you want?
