I have just seen this from the Familiar maillist.  At least it shows
that someone has got a version of working so there is hope for you yet.

I've pulled that version of the BootLDR and placed it on the CF card
for tomorrow night.

You just installed the Bootloader, not yet Familiar. Get one of those
boot*.jffs2 files. Opie, GPE or just plain Vanilla Familiar, it is to you.

Press reset button, press/hold Calendar button. Place it in the cradle, see
minicom or hypertermal. Continue...  Installing *.jffs2
