[Sussex] Lexmark X85

Hi Ed,
I have a nasty feeling that you could be in the same position I was with my
Lexmark 1100 - namely that Lexmark are absolutely at the bottom of the pile
when it comes to Linux. In the end, so that I would have a functioning
printer when I switched over from Windows to Debian, I gave my trusty
Lexmark to my stepson & found a very nice s/h HP LaserJet 4000N in the
Friday-Ad for £50.

This is fine for me as I don't do much in the way of graphics (& the HP
does v.nice greyscale), but I'm sure there are plenty of printers that will
print in colour very nicely in Linux.

I initially found it a bit hard to accept that my trusty Lexmark would have
to go, but I haven't looked back..

I hope this helps.

Gavin.
