I do wonder what would happen if someone, let's call him Adam, sent a copy
of a mail like this to another person, let's call her Beryl. The mail
promises money from third party Charlie if Beryl does something.

Beryl does what is asked of her, and then asks Charlie for the money.

Charlie says "no idea what you're talking about - let's have a look at the
mail."

Beryl then sues Charlie for the promised money, and Charlie immediately
enjoins Adam as a co-defendant.
