a - 'cos there's enough help on-screen to get by with
b - 'cos I've used it for more years than I care to remember, including
using it for command editing in bash....
c - well, I could, when survival meant hacking /etc/passwd and/or
/etc/shadow on a SunOS or Solaris box...

Now, I hang my head in shame, I've /never/ learnt EMACS... beyond Escape
Meta Alt Control Shift...

The editor of the beast? That'd be vi vi vi
