Sharp intake of breath! mmmm.... tempting....

My partner really got ripped off when a local company built hers. I think
it is an AMD Duron 600 with 112kb of memory available (the MBoard has
grabbed the 16kb diff between 128kb and 112kb, cause its a crap cheapo and
has everything including the kitchen sink onboard). She had to convert it
to Win98 from the installed XP, because it is too lowtech to run it. The PC
runs like a clapped out Pug 309 with a ton of bricks in the boot. I know I
used to own one! It still took 20 secs or so to reach 60mph though (without
the bricks).

Anyhow, it might not be nonfunctional but slow enough to warrant upgrade. I
will definitely give it a thought.

Bathroom and Kitchen come first though.

Mind you, she could be converted to Linux and the performance increase that
would give! (oh glee!).

Cheers
