[Sussex] Icecast and Otto

Hi all,

I've hacked an old laptop apart to turn it into a digital
picture-frame/audio client for my flat, I just have one slight issue.

I'm running otto (http://www.cardhouse.com/otto/) on the music server
and it will play any file out of the speakers attached to the computer
without any issues at all, so I know that it's working.

I'm trying to stream from otto to Icecast so the client(s) can pick it
up in the bedroom/kitchen etc.

Icecast works fine with Ices and I can stream manual playlists to the
clients, I just can't get otto talking to icecast.

Can anyone shed any light on this issue or point me in the direction of
a piece of software that has the following:

- Web-Interface
- Plays MP3/OGG/WAV
- Will play locally (i.e. through the soundcard of the machine it's
installed on) _AND_ stream to clients via shoutcast or similar.

I DO NOT want a system that needs to use X, it is running on a headless
server and I intend to kepp it that way. Also, the clients will not all
cope with having KDE/Gnome on them, they run DamnSmallLinux and Fluxbox
with a cut-down version of Firefox.

Thoughts, Flames and Feelings please...

TIA,

Matt
