[Sussex] portable music device (Rio Karma)

My mp3 player worked well under SuSE 9.3 with the java app that I got
from the Rio site.

So what do I need to "do" to get it working under gentoo (I know that
the SuSE will have done some stuff automatically i.e. detection,
mounting etc).

The java app opens OK, it knows what IP address I originally allocated,
I can tell it to transfer some tracks, it even makes the device screen
tell me that it's "communicating", but it doesn't seem to be sending the
info to the device.

I'm suspecting that I need to have an fstab entry, probably mount it
manually, etc etc but I'm not too sure where I should start, could
someone point me in the right direction please ???

regards

John D.

p.s. Oh and to confuse matters further, all my music is ripped as FLAC
as the Rio Karma is one of a small number of devices that support the
format.
