[Sussex] Missing Functionality

Can anyone help?

In Ubuntu Linux, I installed MonoDevelop 0.7 
via Synaptic then did something silly whilst 
using it which resulted in removing the 
editor window for the source files.  Now if 
I try to create a new project it 
crashes/freezes.  I think it was a mouse
event like (iconise) then deleted the icon by
sending it to trash.

Ok, I tried then to remove the app by using 
Synaptic (selecting remove, not just 
re-install).  I then re-installed it.  No 
change in above scenario.

How do I get it to go completely, so that I 
can do a fresh Install?

I've looked at hidden stuff in Home directory
with no result.
