If you know the partition geometry, you could try dd'ing the disk to an
image and using mount offsets to mount the partitions in loopback.

Assuming you have a drive larger than 120G to dd to!

Once you have taken a dd of the drive, you could attempt a rewrite of the
drive's partition table with fdisk and see if you can recover the
partition table and hopefully the rest of the drive. The dd'd copy would
then be safe if you totally messed things up with fdisk for instance.
