[Sussex] Debian DVD to CD

Hi all,

This is really just a question that popped into my head. I suspect that
doing a installation over a network connection would be easier, but I'll
ask anyway..

I have Debian Sarge on a double-sided DVD, which is great for my two PCs
with DVD drives.

I also have an older machine that has a CD-R in it & it's not really
worth swapping it for a DVD drive.

I would like to install Sarge on this older machine (I hope to connect
my scanner to it) & just idly wondered how easy it would be to make a CD
of "Debian essentials" (namely the apps that I would actually want on
the older PC) by selecting them from the DVD & making an ISO image on
CD.

I can immediately see that there might be huge dependency issues, but I
just need to satisfy my curiosity.

Gavin.
