Hi,
I got it eventually, even though ubuntu.com was unresponsive for most of 
the day.
It appears to be very much like 6.06/6.10 in most ways, including the 
familiar brown theme.
It installed itself without issue, and as yet I cannot report any issues .
Still it's very nice to use (IMHO) as were Dapper and Edgy.
