[Sussex] accessing mounted shares in Ubuntu

Morning all,

I am running Ubuntu (fiesty) and have got several windows shares mounted
using the "connect to server" option.

I am trying to use Grysnc to sync my home folder as a backup onto one of
the windows shares but none of the mounted drives appear anywhere in my
file structure.

I would have assumed they would be in either /mnt  or /media but they
don't appear anywhere.

Any ideas on how to access these mounted shares from an application?
