I think that "show & tell" wins for two reasons:

1: Everyone will get to see the gadgets clearly.

2: The entertainment potential is far greater & will help with the
competitions....

I like the competition idea a lot. The competition categories seem
pretty comprehensive to me, but if I have any brainwaves I'll let you
know.
