Welcome to SLUG.

This mailing list & our monthly moot is as good a place as any to start. There are a good mix of people on this list from professional software engineers to "Joe Users" who once upon a time either got fed up with Windows or were just curious about Linux.

A Moot is a word from Old English meaning (in this context) "meeting or assembly" & can also contain the meaning of "discussion or debate". We do this once a month at the Holbrook Club, North Heath Lane, Horsham. If you fancy coming along & introducing yourself, you are most welcome - just add your name to the most recent "Moot attendance list" e-mail. Whether you can attend or not, please just post to this list any questions you may have.

Gavin.
