Phpmyadmin on a Fedora Core 6 system. The I log in, via phpmyadmin, I get <FONT
face="Times New Roman" size=3>"The mbstring PHP extension string
</FONT></FONT><FONT face=Arial size=2>wasn't found and you seem to be using a
multibyte charset. Without the mbstring extension phpMyAdmin is unable to
split strings correctly and <BR>it may result in unexpected results."
I searched and found that the recommendation was to:</FONT></DIV>

There are a number of references to mbstring in the php.ini file. Any
