I am not sure if you come to our meetings, but if you have opportunity any of us will show the techniques of installing and managing the installed programs.<br><br>The nearest you get to the method of windows (simply double clicking a .exe file is double clicking a .rpm and you will then get pop-up window asking for root privilidge authorization)<br>
<br>All the distros have a control panel of some sort which makes the process of adding (or removing) software really very easy. I am now quite familiar with Mandriva and can certainly show how easy it is.<br>
