Peter's (and my problem) is that PCLinux (Mandriva) using KDE comes
with a Ark. Having looked through the applications I spotted that
KArchiveur was there but did not seem to be activated. Clicked it for
update and PCL seemed to go for the main site which seems to be "off
air."<br>
<br>
I have managed to locate KArchiveur on another site which has now been
downloaded. I've just got to go through the installation instructions.<br>
<br>
I have now read the instructions and am still a bit confused as I am
still not sure how to install the archive to the root directory. We
want KArchiver in the first partition (system:/media/hda1) along with
the other programs. NOT in the second partition (system:/media/hda6).<br>
<br>
Peter is bringing his PC to the Moot so can someone install it and give
him concise instructions on how to do it. This will then allow him to
download the music zips he gets hold of.<br>
<br>
TIA - David Pipe
