<p>Dear Elio,</p>
<p>Fantastic to be using Linux at 86!</p>
<p>My first thought would be to sell the Chromebooks on Ebay and buy
laptops that are easier to install Linux on, is that an option?</p>

<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:100%">At present I have
a
pressing problem to solve that is why I write to you asking
for
assistance.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:100%">By mistake I
bought
2 Asus Chromebooks (one for myself and one for my wife) when
they
were on offer at half price with Lidl, some 18 months ago. </p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:100%">The mistake was/is
that I did not realize that the chromebooks are Cloud based
and that
it is not easy to install a linux distribution on it. Also I
do not
wish to dual boot the Asus, but replace the OS with Gallium.
Also
do not wish to use the cloud and prefer to save all my work on
flash
drives.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:100%"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:100%">I wonder if there
would be someone in the Lug who would be able to patiently
dedicate
the time to help me in installing Gallium OS on the machine so
that I
can finally be able to use the Asus Chromebook and in such a
way as
to enable me to install Gallium OS on my wife's machine, as I
would
greatly appreciate learning how to deal with the problem.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:100%"><br>
</p>
<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:100%">As the old Chinese
saying goes "please do not give me a fish but teach me how to
fish", however as beggars cannot be choosers, I would
appreciate
any help that I get.</p>

<p style="margin-bottom:0cm;line-height:100%">Thanking you.</p>
