These instructions assume a working TCP/IP network... that may have been
the original question. That's what I understand by 'networking' (not
like we're gonna set up IPX or NetBEUI =)... what you both described I'd
call 'SMB file sharing' or 'Windows file sharing' or just 'file sharing'
depending on who I was talking to.

To the original questioner: Did you mean file/printer sharing, or
actually just plug-together-and-communicate-somehow networking (for
maybe gaming or internet connection sharing), or both?
