[SWLUG] Mulicard Reader in MDK 9.0

I suppose being a newbie and all it would have been nice if the
instructions had actually said to do that.... however they neglected
that tiny but vital part. I have now done so and can report *almost*
total success.

Success: The card reader IS now installed correctly in the new kernel
configuration.

Bad News: Now it won't see my network card! <mutter>

I'm in the original config at the moment (obviously as the NIC is
working!) Any ideas why it won't work in the new one? All I did was
enable the option to probe all LUNs on SCSI devices and then recompile
the kernel.

Do you think it's as simple <????> as the kernel compilation dying at an
inopportune moment and the part where it detects the NIC is corrupt? If
so will recompiling fix that and not break anything else?

Kind regards,

Julian
