[SWLUG] tweaking for sound performance

Hi,

Don't mean to teach anyone to suck eggs, but I assume you've run "top"  
to see what's chewing up the processor? I assume this machine is  
running a CLI based MP3 player rather than an X based one? Have you  
tried a different player?
