[SWLUG] Slow DSL connection (Name resolution??)

Just a quick note to say that my DSL connection is now so blindingly
fast I'm in danger of getting a speeding ticket.

The trick was, firstly, to use Firefox 9.1 instead of 9.0: but the
clincher was to disable IPv6.  The trick was:

Change

alias net-pf-10 ipv6
#alias net-pf-10           off
 
to
 
#alias net-pf-10 ipv6
alias net-pf-10           off

in /etc/modules.conf

I should add that this gem was from alt.os.linux.suse and not something
I worked out on my own.  But you didn't think that for a minute anyway,
did you? :)
