Absolutely!  How about Weatherspoon's on Thursday?  Weatherspoon's do a 
special "curry & pint (or wine) for £4" deal on Thursdays. I've been there 
on many Thursday evenings (although not in the past two months), and there 
has always been plenty of space in the non-smoking eating part (at the back 
of the pub) in the early evening.
