I think that a happy balance needs to be stuck, if SWLUG is trying to 
become more sociable and get more locals to join then the only way of 
doing this is to show it is an outgoing group, this is sometimes done by 
OTW topics, BBQ's, meetings, LAN partys etc.

However members should also be aware of their audience, for instance 
Rhys' post might very well offend a number of potential new or even 
existing members out there. People who post to the group should think 
about what they write and ask how they'd react if their grandmother or 
youngest kid would react to what they are writting.

A happy balance needs to be found, otherwise there will be a lot more 
grumpy old men...
