This was a "must have it today" job. I was impatient, cos I had all
the necessary bits to put together a new box, with the exception of a
PSU - the one in the chassis I had was a pile of junk. I'm off to
build it shortly. As it turned out, I got a sensible deal as by
coincidence the guy who served me turned out to be an old mate from
Cardiff Uni. Small world - I haven't seen him in 20 years.

Agreed. I've been getting good service from Komplett lately, but they
can be slow. I've learned (thanks to ebuyer) that cheap isn't always
good. Ebuyer are never getting another penny from me. My last Cat5
stuff came from City Electrical wholesalers. 305 metres of Cat5e cost
me £24 plus VAT, and they bunged me a handful of RJ45 connectors for
nothing, as nobody knew the price.

Anyway, thanks to all for the advice. I'm a happy camper now (will be
even happier when the new Athlon 64 is built, so I can bang my head
against Gentoo for a while).

Regards,

Glenn.
