[SWLUG] Xandros Xorg failure following updates

Hi All,

Having just updated Xandros 3.0 via the Xandros Networks utility, Xorg
will now not boot. I can get into the shell, but 'startx' bombs with
complaints about 'something' being missing. Unfortunately I forgot the
problems I had last time I did a system update, otherwise I wouldn't
have bothered. One thing I do know is that for some obscure reason one
of the developers changed the name of the module to drive the keyboard,
it is now 'kbd' instead of keyboard. No idea why anyone would *want* to
change that but anyway it's done. So, this time I have edited the
xorg.conf and changed the entry to say 'kbd' instead of 'keyboard'.

However it still won't boot. The major difficulty of course is that not
being in a GUI of any kind in Linux I can't cut and paste the error
messages into an email. Basically it's complaining that 'something'
it's looking for is not there, and it's not very specific about what
that something is.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Kind regards,

Julian
