[SWLUG] Advice please: broadband + laptop

I'm using wanadoo (which is soon to become Orange apparently, if it hasn't 
already??).

I've got the Speedtouch 330 usb adsl modem.

It works fine, though I had to recompile my kernel as when I last made one I 
assumed I'd be on dial-up forever!

If any one needs more details just ask ... I basically followed the 
instructions from the sf.net speedtouch site :
