Hi Dick,

Have you tried deleting /var/cache/apt/archives/bc_1 .06-17_i386.deb and
trying again? From the error message, it looks like this file is corrupted.
It should be downloaded again after you delete it.

I'd check /etc/apt/sources.list too, and maybe refresh the local apt cache
(using apt-get update).
