HI Mark.

Just read your reply, I am no expert by any stretch of the imagination on
sysadmin or linux in any shape at all, infact quite the newbe.

However my setting up and connecting to the internet has been totally
painless, I am running SUSE 10 (I got it off a cover disk) without hesitation
it found and connected me to the internet no problems.

I am running through a Belkin router and from there to a broadband modem
supplied by NTL sorry dont know the make.

I have a T10/100 card in my computer as that is what is reccomended by NTL for
connection even though it will connect by USB, the router is also of a
network connection type but as I said its connected with no problem at all.

It sdays at the end of install that a test for the internet connection failed
but its lying as having installed 3-4 times now its connected no problem.

Best of luck

Alun
