[SWLUG] pen drive formating

I have a pen drive in my USB port. I accidentally left it in place whilst installing a new distro and I think it got formatted. I use it for transfering files to a windows machine. I would like to know if there is a simple way of reformatting it to work with a windows file system. It works fine on my windows machine if I run knoppix off a cd but that is a bit of a long way around to do things.
