Dear All

I have a Dell which duel boots Mandriva 2007 and XP. The XP
partition is mounted (/mnt/win_c) when Mandriva starts but is
only mounted as read only.

I really want to be able to boot into a user and have access to the
XP files from Mandriva. That way I can work on the user files
without having to make copies.

I am assuming I can change the files permission from Root and make
this possible. Is this correct?

Also, what are the implications, if any, of having this ability?
Does it lead to an XP file that is modified in Mandriva becoming
unreadable when I boot back into XP?

The permission are:
Ownership: [root ]
Groups: [root ]

Owner: [Can View Content]
Group: [Can View Content]
Others: [Can View Content]

Thanks and wait to hear

Stephen (Swansea, Wales, UK)
